France). Perhaps I should also
mention bleuets as blueberries
are also known? One berry more
than one name... So confusing!
The only way to tell the difference
between a blueberry and a
bilberry is to look inside, one has
white or green flesh and the other
a deep blue or purple. Whichever
is a blueberry totally depends on
where you are in the world, but in
Chile they certainly know the
difference ‐ growing more than
22,000 tonnes each year!
